This engineering discipline uses the scientific knowledge of the behavior and effects of electrons to develop components, devices, system or equipment (as in electron tubes, integrated circuits, and printed circuit boards) that was electricity as part of its driving force. The modern discipline of electronic engineering was, to a large extent, born out of telegraph, telephone, radio, and television
equipments development and the large amount of electronic systems development during World War II (1939-45) of radar, sonar, communication system, and advanced communication and weapon
systems.
Today, Electronics engineering has over widening broad spectrum field which is growing at a rapid pace due to present day complex demand of human life.
इलेक्ट्रोनिक्स इन्जीनियरिंग
यह इन्जीनियरिंग शाखा इलेक्ट्रॉनों के व्यवहार की वैज्ञानिक जानकारी व इसके प्रभावों को इस्तेमाल में लाकर इलेक्ट्रॉन ट्यूबों, ट्रान्सिस्टरों, इन्डीग्रेटेड सरकिटों व प्रिन्टेड सरकिट बोर्डों आदि जैसे कलपुर्जों, उपकरणों, प्रणालियों या इक्विपमैंट के विकास में करती है जिनमें इलेक्ट्रिसिटी एक ड्राइविंग फोर्स के रूप में व्यवहार करती होती है। इलेक्ट्रानिक्स इन्जीनियरिंग का आधुनिक स्वरूप काफी हद तक टेलीग्राम, टेलीफोन, रेडियो तथा टेलीविजन कलपुर्जों के विकास द्वारा सम्भव हुआ तथा इलेक्ट्रानिक्स् सिस्टम्स का विकास द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध (1939–1945) में रडार, सोनार, कम्युनिकेशन सिस्टम्स तथा उन्नत युद्ध सामग्री (गोला, बारूद आदि) व शस्त्र प्रणालियों के बहु–आयामी विकास से हुआ। आगे इलेक्ट्रानिक्स इन्जीनियरिंग का क्षेत्र दिन–प्रतिदिन विस्तृत होता जा रहा है।
